Check Tate County 24-Hour Releases

A Tate County 24 hour release list would answer who left the county jail during the latest same-day period. The sheriff does not publish that kind of list. To learn who was released in the last 24 hours, start with the current roster and then confirm the event through the jail, the court record, or the agency that received the person. That distinction matters. A missing name can reflect a community release, but it can also mark a transfer or a data change. Tate County release records provide the firm date, authority, and destination that a current roster cannot supply.

No Tate County 24-Hour Feed

There is no official Tate County 24-hour release feed. The sheriff's current inmate roster answers who appears to be in custody now. It does not offer a released tab, a same-day window, or an archive of people who left. The official site navigation, OCV manifest, live feed, and county-branded app configuration were checked on July 26, 2026. None exposed a documented Releases, Recent Releases, 24 Hour Release, or 72 Hour Release feature. Empty results from guessed data keys do not amount to an official list.

Sorting the live roster by booking date also cannot create a Tate County 24-hour release list. Booking time starts the custody episode. It does not say when or how that episode ended. The feed may remove a record after release, transfer, correction, or interruption, while giving no public event label. A screenshot of two roster states can show that a name disappeared. It cannot prove the destination or legal authority.

Verify the event: A person missing from the roster is a lead, not proof of community release.

Check Tate County Same-Day Releases

The best same-day method starts with a precise identity. Use the full name, spelling variants, birth date when lawfully available, booking date, charge, and court or case number. Then compare the official roster. If the person remains listed, the public feed still treats that booking as current custody. If the name is gone, contact Tate County Jail and ask about that exact booking rather than asking for a general list.

  1. Search the current sheriff roster and record the displayed booking date, charge, bond fields, and other identifiers.
  2. Call the jail at 662-562-5466. Ask whether that booking ended in community release, transfer, or a correction, and request the event time.
  3. Identify the court from the booking or citation. Obtain the signed bond, dismissal, release, sentencing, or transfer order.
  4. Request the sheriff's jail docket, booking record, and release entry when phone confirmation does not give enough detail.
  5. Move to MDOC, BOP, ICE, or the receiving jail only when the Tate record shows that custody moved there.

The official Tate County Sheriff's Office lists the jail at 1 Justice Drive, Senatobia, MS 38668. Published office hours are 8:00 a.m. to 5:00 p.m. CST, Monday through Friday. Those are office hours only. They are not release hours, and no official source states a release schedule, public waiting point, or weekend processing timetable.

For a single named person, the full custody-routing method is covered on the Tate County released inmates search. That route keeps county, state, and federal episodes separate.

Tate County 24-Hour Record Fields

Because Tate has no public same-day list, the table separates what the live roster actually shows from what must come from a release record. This prevents a booking field from being mistaken for a release field.

FieldOfficial public sourceWhat it establishes
Name, age, race, sexCurrent rosterIdentity clues for the displayed booking
Booking date and timeCurrent rosterWhen the jail episode began, not when it ended
Charge, bond type, bond amountCurrent rosterCase and possible release-path clues, not proof that bond was accepted
Release date and timeRequested jail docket or release entryWhen Tate custody ended for that episode
Release authority or typeJail record and signed court orderBond, dismissal, time served, sentence completion, transfer, or other authority
Destination or receiving agencyJail release or transfer recordWhether the person entered the community or remained in another custody system

A useful Tate County release record answers who, which booking, when custody ended, why it ended, and where the person went. Ask for those fields by name. A signed court order may explain legal authority, while the jail entry supplies the physical release or transfer time. When the two records differ, seek clarification from both custodians.

Note: Bond data describes a possible route out of jail, but only the accepted bond and release event confirm that custody ended.

Did Bond Cause Tate County Release?

Tate's live roster shows bond type and amount at the charge level. Labels may include surety, cash, recognizance-style terms, no bond, or N/A. These values help identify what to ask about. They do not show that money was paid, a surety was accepted, all charges were cleared, or another hold was removed.

If a name vanished after a bond amount appeared, save the booking and case details. Ask the jail whether bond was accepted and whether another agency hold controlled the outcome. Next, obtain the bond or release order from the court that handled the case. Tate County's official courts page identifies the local court structure. Justice Court handles misdemeanor criminal matters, preliminary felony hearings, warrants, and bond setting. Circuit Court handles felony prosecutions. A municipal case may remain in municipal court. The named court and case number matter more than a guess based on charge level.

Bonded out
The county physical hold ended subject to the case and bond conditions.
Time served
A sentence was credited by time already confined.
Transferred
Custody changed hands, so the person was not necessarily released into the community.
Discharge
The relevant agency recorded the end of its custody or sentence status.

Tate County Release App Limits

The official Tate County Sheriff MS app offers county-branded access to the same OCV roster ecosystem. The Android edition is also official. Both can make current booking details and available photos easier to reach on a phone. Neither creates a Tate County 24-hour release list. The official configuration contains the inmate-roster feature but no recent-release module.

The official app listing below confirms the app identity and present county branding. It is not evidence that the app archives released people.

The app can help preserve a current booking reference before the record leaves public view. Follow any custody change with the jail record. Sheriff social posts may add incident news, but they are not a complete or systematic release ledger.

Tate County Release Record Retention

Online disappearance and agency retention are different. Tate does not publish a post-removal display period for its roster. Mississippi's 2025 county records schedule, however, calls for a permanent jail docket. It also sets a ten-year period after release for booking records and a 25-year period after release for inmate case files. These retained series can remain available for a lawful records request even when the public page shows no old entry.

Ask for a named series and a narrow period. A request for the jail docket entry, booking record, and release or discharge entry is clearer than asking whether the website has archives. The request may seek booking and release date and time, disposition or authority, destination agency, and releasable booking photograph. Electronic delivery can reduce handling. Ask for an estimate before costs are incurred.

Mississippi's Public Records Act permits actual search, review, copying, and mailing costs. Tate publishes no local jail-record fee schedule or dedicated sheriff request form. Under the statutory framework, adopted procedures ordinarily cannot put production or denial beyond seven working days without a particularized written explanation, and access may be faster when no written procedure exists. Exempt material may be redacted, but reasonably segregable public portions should be produced.

Route Tate County Releases by Custody

A same-day county release and a state-prison discharge are not the same event. Short Tate jail stays may end through bond, recognizance, dismissal, time served, or a court directive. A person sentenced to the Mississippi Department of Corrections may leave Tate's roster because the state took custody. Search the MDOC Inmate Search after the jail confirms a state transfer. A current MDOC location means custody continues. A matched parolee record supports release into community supervision, while a discharge certificate is stronger evidence that state custody ended.

Mississippi SAVIN/VINE can send release, transfer, temporary movement, return-to-custody, escape, and supervision-absconder alerts for MDOC and participating county jails. Check Tate participation in the live selector. VINE is most useful for future notice. An alert is not a certified release record, and a transfer alert must not be restated as freedom.

The Tate County 72-hour release method explains how to cover a wider multi-day period when a same-day check is too narrow.
